Terms of Use
Last updated: August 1, 2026
Welcome to Petica. These terms govern the use of the Petica website and app, an educational platform for primary-school students (grades 1–8) in Serbia. The service called Petica is provided by Rent a POP DOO, Konstantina Kavafija 6, Belgrade, Serbia, tax ID (PIB) 115414746, company registration number 22154575. By creating an account or using the service you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use Petica.
Ova stranica je prevod — pročitajte uslove korišćenja na srpskom. The Serbian version is the primary set of terms for our users.
1. Who can use Petica
Because most Petica users are minors, an account is always created by a parent or legal guardian. The parent guarantees that they are an adult, that they are authorized to act on the child's behalf, and that they are familiar with the Privacy Policy. The parent is responsible for the child's use of the account.
2. What Petica offers
Petica is a digital learning aid. It contains lessons that follow the national curriculum, practice exercises, tests, and a report for the parent. We strive to keep the content accurate and aligned with the curriculum, but Petica does not replace school, teachers, or textbooks. Grades a child receives inside Petica have no official status in the school system.
3. Acceptable use
The user agrees not to:
- use Petica for any unlawful or harmful activity;
- attempt to access other people's accounts, modify content without authorization, or bypass security mechanisms;
- automatically download (scrape) Petica content or use it to train machine-learning models without written consent;
- submit offensive, vulgar, threatening, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable content, or content that is not appropriate for children;
- share their account credentials with third parties.
Petica has no public user-generated content: text a user enters is never shown to other users, and free-text submissions pass an automatic safety (moderation) check as described in the Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to restrict or close an account that seriously violates these rules, with prior notice where possible.
4. Account and security
The parent must keep the account credentials safe and notify us immediately if they suspect the account has been compromised. Petica is not liable for damage caused by careless handling of the password or account sharing.
A parent can permanently delete the account at any time — directly in the app or by email — as described on the account deletion page. Deletion is completed within 30 days.
5. Payments and cancellation
Part of Petica is available free of charge. Subscriptions and all other purchases are made exclusively through the Petica app for iOS or Android — the payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) through their in-app billing systems, under their terms. The pricing and subscription terms are clearly shown before purchase.
Prices, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are managed through your Apple or Google account and follow Apple's or Google's refund policies; access remains active until the end of the paid period. Petica does not bill directly and cannot issue refunds for purchases processed by Apple or Google.
6. Mobile apps and app stores
If you downloaded Petica from the Apple App Store or Google Play, these terms are an agreement between you and Rent a POP DOO only. Apple Inc. and Google LLC are not parties to this agreement, do not own or operate Petica, and bear no responsibility for the app, its content, maintenance, or support, nor for addressing any claims relating to the app (including product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual-property claims). Apple and Google, and their subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you upon your acceptance.
Your use of the app must also comply with the applicable app-store terms of service (Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions or Google Play Terms of Service).
7. Intellectual property
All Petica content (lessons, exercises, illustrations, code, logo, and visual identity) is protected by copyright and related-rights regulations. The user receives a personal, non-transferable licence to use the content for their own learning. Any reproduction, publication, or commercial use without our written consent is prohibited.
8. User input
When a child enters text in an exercise (e.g. an open answer), Petica uses that text solely to show feedback and remember progress. When a user sends a message through the feedback and report form, that text passes an automatic safety (moderation) check in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
9. Service availability
We strive to keep Petica running without interruption, but we cannot guarantee there will be no temporary outages due to maintenance, equipment failure, hosting-provider issues, or force majeure. From time to time we will add, change, or remove parts of the content and functionality.
10. Limitation of liability
Petica is provided "as is" and "as available". Although we make reasonable efforts to keep the content accurate, up to date, and of high quality, we do not guarantee that it will be entirely free of errors or interruptions.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, loss of data, or other intangible losses that may arise from using or being unable to use Petica.
Petica is an educational tool intended to support learning and is not a substitute for classroom teaching, a teacher's professional judgment, or official teaching materials. Users are responsible for verifying information from other relevant sources where needed.
Nothing in these Terms of Use excludes or limits liability where it cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, nor does it affect consumers' statutory rights.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms from time to time. The date of the last change is shown at the top of the page. We will notify parents of significant changes by email before they take effect. If you do not agree with the changed terms, you can close your account at any time.
12. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms and the use of Petica are governed by the law of the Republic of Serbia. We will try to resolve any disputes amicably; if that is not possible, the competent court in Belgrade has jurisdiction.
